 We grow our produce in glass greenhouses which allows
us to control the environment and provide ideal growing conditions for
our plants.
Temperatures, humidity and sunlight are all vital components to creating
a healthy growing environment. It begins with the greenhouse itself... more
sunlight for the plants, superior air movement, low-energy use and employee
friendly.
The growing conditions are controlled by state of the art computer systems... which
themselves are managed by expert greenhouse growers who are able to apply
their skills gained from around the world.
The water used to grow the plants is gathered from the roof of our greenhouses... .yes,
natural rain water! We ensure through sand filtering that no un-natural
elements reach the plants.
With regard to plant nutrition... .we use natural elements to support
healthy plant growth... elements that come from the earth and sea,
such as calcium, epsom salts, potassium and iron. And of course the key
ingredient in developing healthy fruits and vegetables... sunshine,
and lots of it!
Once the produce has been harvested from the plant we take extreme care
in ensuring that the grading and packing provide for consistent quality
to the consumer. Our sorting is conducted by using high-tech cameras
and grading machines that take up to 16 pictures for each vegetable.
